3 Brown Female Comedians You Need to Know!

It's an understatement to say that woman are far less represented on the comedy circuit. Now throw being a minority on top of that... well you get our point. With the exception of Mindy Kaling, brown female comedians aren't really given any light. So far, we have Aziz, Kumail, Hasan, Ramy, Asif, Nik and the list goes on. Well, it's about time the ladies get some light. Here are three awesome women you need to know!

Fizaa Dosani

Fizaa Dosani is a stand-up comedian, actor, and writer. She is a first-generation American of Indian descent, born and raised in south Florida. Fizaa graduated from the University of Miami before relocating to Los Angeles, California.

Fizaa currently has a podcast at the comedy store in Los Angeles called "Transplant". She does stand-up 7 days a week. Literally just go on her social media and pick a day.

Fizaa was last seen on How to Get Away with Murder and just shot a spot on Netflix's Dear White People!

Kiran Deol

Kiran Deol is a British born Harvard graduate raised in Boca Raton, FL. As a standup comedian, Kiran has been featured on Comedy Time, in Jezebel, on BBC Radio, and in Bitch Magazine as One of Six Comedians You Don't Know Yet But Should. Kiran’s work tackles difficult topics with intimacy, poignancy, and humor. She has created projects for HBO and Sundance, been nominated for an Emmy, shortlisted for an Oscar and has hosted a series for VICE. Basically she's a badass!

Her TV credits include The Mindy Project, Greys Anatomy and New Girl.

Subhah Agarwal

Subhah Agarwal grew up in north Chicago. She is currently a writer on The Jim Jefferies Show for Comedy Central. Subhah is a headlining comedian who has appeared on Comedy Central, Tru Tv, and MTV.
