Brown Queen, Samhita Mukhopadhyay named Executive Editor at Teen Vogue
Samhita Mukhopadhyay has been named Teen Vogue’s Executive Editor!!! Mukhopadhyay is a writer, editor, speaker and digital strategist. She’s co-editor of the best-selling anthology Nasty Women: Feminism, Resistance and Revolution in Trump’s America and the author of Outdated: Why Dating is Ruining Your Love Life. She joins the Condé Nast group with an impressive resume. She was former Executive Editor of award-winning blog Feministing and former Senior Editorial Director of Culture and Identities at Millennial digital news site Mic where she covered The Movement for Black Lives, Islamophobia, Trans issues, Sexual assault on college campuses and Standing Rock.
In recent years Teen Vogue has started to tackle more socially progressive and political issues. Mukhopadhyay's experience and passion for "feminism, politics, culture, technology, existential dating dilemmas and racial justice” makes her the perfect fit for the direction the magazine continues to head in.
